1. Lining effect
Interlining is to set off the fabric, improve the performance of the garment, play a great role in the beautiful appearance of the garment, promote the garment to have a perfect shape, and make up for the lack of performance of the fabric.
2. Selection of interlining
Five aspects shall be considered when selecting adhesive lining:
(1) Application and performance of clothing
Interlining can not only give the clothing a beautiful shape, but also protect the shape, and make the clothing have a good durability.
(2) Fabric performance
Different fabrics have different requirements for interlining, so it is necessary to consider the compatibility of the fabric and the interlining, and fully understand the performance of the fiber, structure, weight, thickness, density and hand feeling used in the fabric and the finishing of the fabric.
(3) Interlining
It is necessary to have a full understanding of the varieties, specifications, characteristics and main quality indicators of the lining cloth (such as heat shrinkage rate, water washing shrinkage rate, water washing and dry cleaning performance, peel strength, moisture regain, etc.), as well as the structure and performance of the backing cloth, the type of hot melt adhesive applied and the range of bonding and pressing conditions of the lining cloth.
(4) Designer's intention
The same fabric can be matched with multiple interlinings. As for which interlining should be selected, the intention of the designer and the current fashion trend should be considered.
(5) Quality, performance and price shall be compared
The same type of interlining sometimes has several quality grades, and the price will be different. The user can select the lining cloth according to the actual situation.
3. Adhesion of interlining and fabric
(1) Bonding machine
There are generally two types of bonding machines: roller type and plate type.
(2) Bonding conditions
Bonding conditions include bonding temperature, pressing time and pressure. There is a certain connection when the three elements interact within a certain range. When the temperature increases and the pressure increases, the pressing time can be relatively shortened. If the temperature is too high and the pressing time is too long, it is easy to damage the performance and color of the fabric, and it is also easy to produce glue penetration. If the pressure is too high, it is easy to damage the appearance of the fabric.
(3) Selection of bonding conditions
Before mass production, the bonding conditions must be tested repeatedly to determine the best process conditions. The lining supplier shall provide the bonding conditions for reference.
